Tricky Wicked Bitch

Tricky Wicked Bitch is a quest for identity and family, told in poetry and vignette, music, dance, and time travel. Rose is a young biracial girl, searching for her father and the secrets of her troubled dead mother. She embarks on a time-bending journey to a 1920's blues club where she falls in love with an enigmatic singer, Wiley Booker, and struggles with history and destiny.

Lisa Meyers Biography

Lisa Meyers is a rising senior Theatre major/Jewish Studies minor at Smith College, an award-winning playwright produced in Hollywood (at The Blank Theatre Young Playwrights Festival) and New York (through Stephen Sondheim's Young Playwrights, Inc.). Her plays, TRICKY WICKED BITCH and RESPECT FOR THE ELECTRIC FIELD OF HORSES have received full Smith productions, and her newest work, THE BIRTH OF VENUS, will be produced at Smith in May 2011. Her other passions include acting, directing, puppetry, Judaism, cooking, and traveling (she spent Fall 2009 in Prague, Czech Republic). She attended the Orange County High School of the Arts, where she studied creative writing, and developed her poetic, fantastical sensibilities. She is indebted to her teachers, her parents, her friends, and her theatre family, as well as the universe's tendency to be magical and unpredictable.
